How I wore... the Kielo wrap dress

Not strictly a sewing post but a post to show you how I wore my Kielo wrap dress in a different way.  I have blogged about this dress before - shown on Diana in this post  here and as I wore it on the cruise here.

This is how I wore it out to a function last week.

It is coming up party season so to make a dress more versatile is a good thing.  Basically I didn't wrap but tied the dress ties at the back.

I have seen people suggest tying it this way before but it has been in shorter versions and I thought I should try it out on my long version.

Really happy with this styling.  It was also very comfortable to wear.

Ciao kittens back to regular sewing posts next time.. next an Ottobre frock.

  1. Absolutely love this on you. Bravo. Fabulous colour & gorgeous soft drape! Now I want one... I've got some woven rayon... do you think it will work or so you think knit is better?

    1. I haven't tried it in a woven yet. I want too and will soon. I have read many reviews and it seems to work fine in a woven. I would think a rayon would be great.I'll wait and see if you make the woven the version before me! :)

  2. This looks great...so comfortable yet effortlessly stylish. I think fabric choice is critical to the success of this pattern. My version in ponte made me look like a brick.

    1. I think you are right Margaret. This one is a stretch crepe and it suits the pattern really well.

    1. It is a fab piece to have in the wardrobe and I have noticed lately they have a sleeve you can add as a free download.

    1. I liked it on the shorter versions I have seen and was pleasantly surprised at how will it draped in this longer version.

  7. It's a lovely dress and looks great tied both ways. The colour suits you well. I bought the pattern after I saw your first post, but haven't even printed it out yet. I want to make the shorter version.
